The Story of STC Pro – Began in 2008.

When coin magicians mention the STC or Super Triple Coin, we’re mainly referring to the ingenious ‘Double Face Super Triple Coin’ by Johnny Wong. This set consists of three ultra-thin magnetic coins, making it possible to achieve impressive effects, like coin splitting and color changes that are challenging or even impossible with sleight of hand alone.

In 2008, Johnny Wong built on the success of his Split Coin (released in 2005) and sought to refine the Coin Matrix routine to make it appear more natural. By adding an extra gaff coin to the original Split Coin design, he created the earliest version of the Super Triple Coin. Then, in 2010, Johnny evolved the design further by incorporating a dual-face design with ancient Chinese coins, which has since become the standard version.

Jay Wang, supervisor and producer at Artisan Coin, was immediately captivated by the STC when he first encountered it. Since 2011, he has integrated it into his performances, developing his own signature routines. His work with the STC has earned him recognition from top magicians around the world.

In 2021, using his years of experience with the prop, Jay began reimagining the original STC and explored ways to elevate the STC's effects to make it even more versatile, able to achieve cleaner displays, and more complex routines. After receiving Johnny Wong's approval and support, Jay spent three years refining what would become the Super Triple Coin Pro.

New Features of STC Pro – Opens Up Endless Possibilities

As demonstrated in the promotional trailer video, the biggest innovation in the STC Pro is its circular magnet, which allows the coins to lock in their separated state, making it easy to display them flat on your hand or a table.

The magnet itself is stronger, enabling you to create even cleaner effects using both magnetic attraction and repulsion. This opens up a whole new world of routines.

Jay Wang has also designed a new set of stickers specifically for the STC Pro. Recognizing that friction from the sticker can affect the performance, Jay conducted extensive testing and chose a matte finish that solves the issue of glossy stickers being too sticky. 

These matte stickers not only make handling easier but also provide a texture that closely resembles real coins.
